Andrea works closely with the Head Tutor and under the supervision of the Undergraduate Advising Administrator.  She establishes and implements procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of the Undergraduate Program Office and supports all matters concerning concentration advising.  She serves as an expert resource for information on the university policy, curricular structure, the Psychology concentration, related concentrations, and all matters concerning advising for faculty, students, staff, and external community. Andrea provides students both general and specific information and advice about requirements, programs, research opportunities, etc. She monitors student progress, maintains accuracy and integrity of all student records (hard copy and electronic), and ensures compliance with department and university policy and degree requirements.  She advises Secondary Field (minor) candidates and signs paperwork and hires, trains and supervises six, part-time Concentration Advisors (graduate students). Processes appointments for Concentration Advisors, Sophomore tutors, and thesis advisors.  Works with faculty to implement faculty dinner program.  Oversees Undergraduate Planning Committee and arranges and supports several events throughout the year.  Organizes, prepares for and supports the Committee for Undergraduate Instruction, concentration advisor meetings, and other meetings; responsible for the implementation of committee decisions. Oversees production of Undergraduate Program publications, both hard copy and electronic versions (weekly concentrator email newsletters, handouts, wikis, and program website). In conjunction with the Staff Assistant, oversees administration of courses managed by the Undergraduate Office (independent research, junior and senior thesis tutorials, sophomore and junior tutorial courses). Works as a team member with the Undergraduate Office and Graduate Office, providing coverage of duties for the Undergraduate Advising Administrator, Staff Assistant, and Graduate Coordinator as needed. Supervises work of Student Services Staff Assistant.
