James Dillon is a Ph.D. student in the Organizational Behavior program (psychology track), a joint program offered by Harvard Business School and Harvard's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Prior to joining the doctoral program at Harvard, he worked as a business strategy consultant at Monitor Group and as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School. Separately, James has provided strategic advice to a number of firms, including a major publishing house and, most recently, a medical devices start-up.
James's research interests focus on groups, their composition, and their interaction processes—notably the groups of senior executives charged with strategic leadership of business organizations. He is currently studying learning in work teams and is interested in the process of professional and leadership development, including the effects of career experiences on the performance of leaders and organizations.
