 Congratulations to [Grant Jones](https://nocklab.fas.harvard.edu/people/grant-jones) on receiving competitive research grants from the [Mind &amp; Life Institute](https://www.mindandlife.org/grants/varela-grants/) ($19,970) and the [Harvard Culture Lab Innovation Fund](https://dib.harvard.edu/clif) ($20,000) for his research using music-based mindfulness interventions to reduce stress/anxiety in Black Americans in the community and at Harvard (see this [video description](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU30jWk-W4M) of the latter project). Grant is the Lead Researcher/Artist on these exciting new projects, which are co-mentored by Grammy Award-Winning Professor Esperanza Spalding. In addition to studying the healing effects of music-based mindfulness meditation, Grant’s research also is focused on advancing understanding of the associations between psychedelics and positive mental health outcomes.
