Nicole received a PhD in Social Psychology from Temple University and studies how people think about gender as it relates to themselves and others. Nicole is interested in answering questions like these:
- We make assumptions about others based on their appearance. How does someone's gender presentation affect what others think about them and/or how they treat them?
- The construct of gender is typically conceptualized as binary. Where do nonbinary people fit in the context of existing gender stereotypes?
- All identities develop over time. What characterizes the process of claiming a nonbinary gender identity?
