Stephanie N DeCross
PhD Student
Stephanie is interested in understanding the role that aberrantly developing threat neural circuitry plays in predisposing adolescents and young adults towards various forms of psychopathology, including anxiety and stress-related disorders and psychosis. She was awarded the NSF GRFP to pursue this work in graduate school. Her current research examines how exposure to childhood trauma alters neural, physiological, and behavioral responses during fear conditioning and generalization as well as resting-state functional connectivity in ways that impact mental health.
