Jules studies how identity, polarization, and intergroup dynamics shape political discourse and limit societal progress. Her research explores how perceptions of intergroup threat and partisan identity affect individuals’ willingness to self-censor criticism of their own political party. She aims to understand how such self-censorship may, in turn, hinder constructive dialogue, deepen polarization, and weaken democratic resilience.
