Juliana Petersen
Julie Petersen, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow and project director of the Youth FIRST Study in the Lab for Youth Mental Health. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Haverford College, and her master's and Ph.D. in clinical and counseling psychology from Utah State University in 2024. She completed her predoctoral internship in child/adolescent psychology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her research is centralized around increasing the efficacy, effectiveness, and accessibility of transdiagnostic cognitive-behavioral therapies for children and adolescents, with a focus on acceptance and commitment therapy. Additionally, she has specialized interest in understanding the impact of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and related disorders on youth and families. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, reading, painting her nails, and petting dogs.
