Director of Administration and Operations
Reporting to the Chair, oversees strategic planning and management of all administrative & financial services and human resources for the Department of Psychology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversees the Department's Business Office; the Graduate Program Office; Undergraduate Program Office and Study Pool Office.Oversees the Department's operational budget.
•Allocates all Departmental resources. Serves as human resources officer for ~60 administrative and research employees including posting, performance management, compensation, staff relations and new hire orientation. Works with the Chair and faculty committees on policy and planning matters
•Oversees all faculty and research appointment processing. Serves as primary source of policy information for all faculty and staff.
•Provides direction on Departmental operations, evaluates processes, and ensures compliance with University, governmental, and grantor policies. Facilitates special projects for the Chair; serves as ex officio member on all Departmental committees
•Determines needs and priorities for building and facilities management, space planning, I.T. services, and other shared operational resources.
•Serves as staff liaison to, and works closely with, related University, FAS and Divisional offices
